Lunch was tasty and the small villages we visited were authentic and unspoiled by the mass tourism of Albufeira. There certainly was a different pace of life in the hills. Our guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the local area and it's culture. (Although he needs to be a bit more diplomatic and sensitive, especially with sensitive topics of discussion).
